History

Announced in October 2005, the iMac (iSight) was the first Mac to include an integrated iSight camera. In addition to a thinner and lighter case, the iMac (iSight) featured a faster processor, greater bus and memory speeds, and a more powerful graphics chipset. It also included a remote control and Apple's new Front Row software, which allowed the iMac (iSight) to function as a home media center. The iMac (iSight) also reduced the price of its two configurations: the 17-inch model, with a 1.9 GHz processor and 160 GB hard drive, cost $1,299 USD, while the 20-inch model, with a 2.1 GHz processor and 250 GB hard drive, cost $1,699 USD.
