Introduced in July 2010, the iMac (Mid 2010) models represented essentially a performance increase compared to the previous iMac (Late 2009) line. The iMac (Mid 2010) was marketed in four configurations: 21.5"/i3 processor at 3.06 GHz/4 GB of RAM/500 GB hard drive/256 MB of VRAM/1199 USD, 21.5"/i3 processor at 3.2 GHz/4 GB of RAM/1 TB hard drive/512 MB of VRAM/1499 USD, 27"/i3 processor at 3.2 GHz/4 GB of RAM/1 TB hard drive/512 MB of VRAM/1699 USD, 27"/i5 processor at 2.8 GHz/4 GB of RAM/1 TB hard drive/1 GB of VRAM/1999 USD. Custom options included up to 16 GB of RAM, Core i5 processors at 3.6 GHz or quad-core Core i7 at 2.93 GHz, a 2 TB hard drive and a 256 GB SSD.

• The iMac Mid 2010 was launched in July 2010 and represented an incremental update of the previous line, available in four configurations with 21.5" and 27" screens at prices between $1,199 and $1,999. • The base models were equipped with Intel Core i3 processors, while the most powerful configuration featured a quad-core Core i7 processor at 2.93 GHz, available only through custom configuration. • Thanks to customization options, it was possible to expand RAM memory up to 16 GB and add an innovative 256 GB SSD, a technology still rare in desktop computers of that period.
