Introduced in October 2009, the iMac (Late 2009) models featured larger screens and faster processors compared to the previous iMac (Early 2009) line. The iMac (Late 2009) was marketed in 4 configurations: 21.5"/3.06 GHz/4 GB RAM/500 GB HD/256 MB shared VRAM/$1199 USD, 21.5"/3.06 GHz/4 GB RAM/1 TB HD/256 MB VRAM/$1499 USD, 27"/3.06 GHz/4 GB RAM/1 TB HD/256 MB VRAM/$1699 USD, and 27"/2.66 GHz Core i5/4 GB RAM/1 TB HD/512 MB VRAM/$1999 USD. Custom configuration options included up to 16 GB of RAM and a 2.8 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor.

• The iMac Late 2009 was the first in the line to offer a 27-inch screen, representing a significant leap compared to previous models and establishing a standard for professional desktop computers. • The most expensive model reached $1999 with an Intel Core i5 processor, but could be customized with a quad-core i7 processor at 2.8 GHz, making it an extraordinarily powerful machine for its time. • Despite being launched in October 2009, this iMac retained shared graphics memory of only 256 MB on most models, a limitation that contrasted with the otherwise impressive computational power of the machine.
